As an educator, I believe that teachers have a responsibility to facilitate students' growth to their highest potential by providing a safe environment that supports risk-taking and invites students to share their ideas. In order to establish such an environment, the following elements must be maintained:

(1) the teacher as a guide,
(2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to guide his/her learning, and
(3) promoting respect for all things and all people.

In reality, the role of the teacher is to guide and provide access to information, not to be the primary source of information.

Students' quest for knowledge is fulfilled when they learn to find answers to their own questions. To do this, they need opportunities to discover and practice skills on their own in authentic situations. The role of the teacher, therefore, is to create opportunities for students to discover and construct knowledge on an individual basis.

In my free time, I like to cook food, especially Indian food, and sometimes dishes from other countries. I am a nature lover, so I am a nature explorer. Music and movies are also a part of my weekend life. I read about the history of different continents and cultures, and I do have a curiosity for spirituality, questioning and seeking answers for my inner quest rather than dwelling on beliefs.
